This course is suitable for persons who wish to learn CPR but who do not need a course completion card for work purposes.
Participation in this course will provide you with the necessary skills to aid children and infants, who are choking, are in respiratory arrest (have stopped breathing) or in cardiac arrest (heart has stopped beating). It may prove invaluable in saving the life of children and babies of friends, family, colleagues and neighbours or even complete strangers.
The course is offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association (AHA) and the Resuscitation Council of South Africa (RCSA). Participants will be provided with a course manual and guided through the course by a qualified CPR instructor and video based demonstrations. Succesfull completion would allow candidates to earn a total of 2500 Discovery Vitality Points.
Course duration: 4 hours
This course can be presented at a SECC campus or at a site mutually acceptable to parties. The course can be tailored to meet specific requirements of participants as well as accommodate existing skills and literacy levels.
