The ACLS ® course is aimed at nurses, final year medical students, advanced life support (ALS) paramedics and medical practitioners (GPs and specialists) who wish to improve and/or update their advanced management of adult patients in cardiac arrest and post-cardiac arrest, and arrhythmia management. Use of medications for these cases is included in the course. A section of the course is dedicated to basic and advanced airway management techniques and devices. Recognition and early management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke are also covered during the course.
Participants will practise skills and patient management in the form of scenarios on specially designed, state-of-the-art computerised equipment.
After successful completion of the course (written and practical assessment), participants will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) certificate which is valid for two years.

CEUs: 34 (including 4 CEUs for ethics)
Prerequisite: Current basic life support for healthcare providers certification
This course can be presented at a SECC campus or at a site mutually acceptable to parties.
